About Chef Kevin McCarthy: His vast experience includes Executive and Consulting Chef for Gilbert/Robinson, Inc. opening restaurants around the country. In 2005 Zagat named McCarthy "Best Newcomer." He has taught cooking classes throughout South Florida and worked with Cookbook Chefs at the Bon Appetit Cooking School. From 2004-2005 he wrote the Cooking Column "Choptalk" for South Florida Magazine. Chef Kevin was the Executive Chef for Armadillo Café in Davie Florida before joining Armadillo Beach in Dania (from 2006-2009). Over the years he has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for a variety of charities including feeding the homeless, hurricane relief and Cystic Fibrosis. In addition, he has been written up in numerous national media including USA Today, Gourmet Magazine, Wine Spectator and New York Magazine among others.
