Apple Valley, MN (PressExposure) October 17, 2013 -- Dakota Dental, a family clinic of Apple Valley dentists, will be taking part in the annual Halloween Candy Buy Back campaign again in 2013, by offering cash and prizes in exchange for unwrapped sweet treats. As parents around the country prepare for the sweets-oriented holiday, there should always be a consideration for children's oral health. Dakota Dental suggests a key strategy for guarding perfect teeth from decay is to sell off the bulk of that Halloween haul.
As a registered participant in the national Halloween Candy Buy Back campaign, Dakota Dental is authorized to purchase unopened candy from children for the purpose of sending it on to troops serving in the U.S. armed forces overseas. This allows service men and women to receive a sweet treat while protecting the teeth and smiles of children here on the home front.
To participate in Dakota Dental's candy buy back, children may bring their unopened candy to the Apple Valley dental clinic Monday, November 4, through Thursday, November 7, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:15 pm. Children will receive $1 per pound of candy, with a maximum of $5 per family. Additionally, each child selling candy to Dakota Dental will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Visa gift card. The winner's name will be randomly selected during the week of November 11, 2013.
