Lonavala, Maharashtra India (PressExposure) February 26, 2011 -- Mumbai based Della Tecnica Group on Wednesday announced the launch of what it calls is the country's largest recreation park in Lonavla, set up at an estimated cost of Rs lOO Crore. ,
Spread across 36 acres in the recreation park is a one-stop shop for family based recreation, comprising 86 activities under one roof. The park has several new sets of gaming and fun filled activities like all-terrain vehicles (ATV), Polaris Ranger 800 cc, 500 foot zip line and also a permanent public track for dirt bike racing. The 86 activities include 42 adventure activities, 29 hobby activities, night rapelling and zorbing.
The company's MD and principal architect, Jimmy Mistry, said Della Adventure was born of a simple desire for good and clean recreation. " I have always been passionate about speed and particularly motorcycle racing, but did not have such facilities in our country. Moreover, safety has always been a chief concern in India. We now aim to revolutionise the way people spend their leisure time on a range of adventure sports and hobbies," he said.
Apart from gaming activities, the park boasts of a luxury resort with multi-cuisine restaurants offering Indian, Mediterranean and pan-Asian cuisines and banqueting facilities for 1500 guests, music lounge,coffee shop, swimming pool, saloon and spa.
The park currently employs 250 people and the strength is likely to go upto 350 with the introduction of a 100 room hotel. The park is operational 7 days a week and has packages ranging from Rs.1000 onwards for individuals, families, educational institutions and corporate and is expected to cater to 1 million visitors every year.
