Denver, CO (PressExposure) April 12, 2012 -- Kirk Montgomery of 9News and Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock have submitted stories about their mothers and will present them. My Mama Monologues is a collection of real mama stories written by women, men, and children of all ages from all over the world. It will be presented on May 4 at 7:30 pm and May 5 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm at the Sharp Auditorium in the Denver Art Museum. Many stories for the all-new 2012 production have Denver roots.
This unusual and entertaining production a new way of celebrating our mothers. The stories are touching, funny, sweet, and spicy and are all true stories about real mothers. My Mama Monologues playwright and originator, Pat Masumoto and her friends and family have exchanged stories about their mothers for years. They have boasted, laughed hysterically, cried like babies, and expressed intense and mild frustrations and concerns of a lifetime. In addition to Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock and 9News Entertainment Anchor Kirk Montgomery, local actors will perform the all-new stories that were submitted for 2012.
