Shepperton, Middlesex United Kingdom (PressExposure) May 24, 2007 -- DeskDemon.com, the worldâs largest online business tool and community for Executive PAs and Secretaries, today announces the launch of the 2007 Management Support Fellowship Award.
With a first prize of £10,000 plus six months of Executive PA performance coaching, the 2007 Management Support Fellowship Award is a quest to find the UKâs top management support professional. Uniquely, this is the only UK competition of its kind where the winner is determined solely based on the support they receive in a public vote from their fellow office professionals across the UK.
The contest is open to any Executive PA, secretary, office manager, virtual assistant, administrative assistant, receptionist or similar office professional currently working in the UK. Nominating is free and anyone can submit a nomination with a detailed description of why this particular candidate deserves to be rewarded with £10,000 in cash plus a host of other prizes. All nominations will be published on DeskDemon.com.
Mek Rahmani, Founder and CEO of DeskDemon.com, said:
âThe contribution of todayâs management support professional is not always fully recognised within their organisation because of the constantly changing and diverse nature of their responsibilities. In most cases the only people who appreciate the full extent of their contributions are the management support staff themselves. Therefore, we are launching this award to celebrate and highlight the rich diversity of their contribution to UK Plc. and to get their voice heard, by letting them decide who THEY believe truly deserves this highest honour of being the âfirst among equalsâ in the UKâs management support community.â
âI am delighted to have Director as our partner for the awards. No doubt many Director readers will want to say âthank youâ by nominating their PA, secretary or office manager for the award. DeskDemon.com calls on all executives to thank their PA by sharing with the rest of the UK specifically how they add value to their business. Nominating them for the Management Support Fellowship Award is the ultimate way to say âthank youâ.â
In an unprecedented collaboration, Director will promote the contest to its board-level readers through background articles and interviews.
Joanna Higgins, Group Editor of Director, said:
âAs most directors will acknowledge, Executive PAs play a significant and senior role in business. The magazine is pleased to support the awards and to champion the work of executive support staff.â
The 2007 Management Support Fellowship Award will officially kick off with a launch party attended by Britainâs top management support professionals on Monday 4 June 2007 from 6.30 p.m. at the Café de Paris in Londonâs West End. Speakers will include Sue Bonney, Head of Taxation at KPMG.
