Seattle, WA (PressExposure) December 07, 2009 -- Door to Door Storage Inc., a leading national provider of portable self-storage containers and moving services, has announced its participation in Ryther Child Center's Holiday Gift Program.
Door to Door⢠is donating two on-site portable self-storage containers to Ryther along with all of the transportation and storage fees. These containers will be used to hold all of the donations the Center receives from corporate and individual donors. Ryther will be collecting basic necessities--clothing, shoes, etc.--as well as toys for the children who go to school and live on their campus. Donations will also be accepted for families, including parents, who participate in their Family Preservation Services program. Donations will be collected from December 11th to December 17th at the Ryther Child Center campus.
"Door to Door has been so generous to donate these containers," said Robin Bennett, Development Director for Ryther Child Center. "We get a lot of donations from the community because people really want to give at this time of year, and it would be very difficult for us to organize and sort these gifts without additional storage provided by Door to Door. Holiday gifts help the children have a happy holiday season by showing them that the community does care about them."
On December 8th, the containers will be delivered to the Ryther Child Center, located in Lake City. The donations will be collected and held in the containers at this location until the program is over. The donations will then be sorted and distributed to the children and their families.
"Door to Door is pleased to have the opportunity to participate in such an important program," said Annette Jacobs, president and CEO of Door to Door Storage. "These children have been through so much, and they deserve to have the best holiday season that they can. We're proud to be able to help the center in making that possible."
