Oakland, CA (PressExposure) November 06, 2007 -- Bernard Ashcroft, the CEO of RTTC, announced Friday that Dr. Elizabeth Kearney, President of Kearney and Associates: The Expertsâ Alliance, a Bay Area Company established in 1983, had been elected to the Board. Dr. Kearney has been affiliated with the organization for several years and expressed delight when she was invited to join the board, âI canât think of a greater honor, âshe said.
One thing that appeals to her is the fact that the organization reaches out to the community and offers training, counseling, and placement opportunities to a wide range of Bay Area men and women. Their clients range from first time job holders to those holding advanced degrees who because of economic shifts or business closures are seeking new careers. The success rates of the programs offered are so outstanding that many of the Bay Area's major companies support the efforts and work closely with the organization to ensure that success.
Dr. Kearney who specializes in strategic planning and effective leadership is an award-winning author, business owner, and professor whose monthly column appears in the East Bay Business Times. She was a John Hopkins Fellow, and three of her books were Fortune Book-of-the-Month Club selections. She was selected in 2003, 2004, and 2005. as the Businesswoman of the Year by the National Business Advisory Council and received the same accolade in 2003 from ABWA. She was also one of fourteen business owners honored in Washington, D.C. in March of 2005, and in the same year, she was presented with the Ronald Reagan medal for her work with small businesses and their related issues. At this time, the key focus of Dr. Kearney and her associates is on a problem that must be solved to ensure the stability of the corporate economy -- the coming Baby Boomer Exodus and the related need to understand, communicate with, and supervise the X and Y generations.
Despite her busy schedule, she says, âThe programs and services offered by the RTTC are outstanding, and businesses â large and small â need to take time to learn more about this organization, its purpose, and its services. This is particularly true since there are plans underway to broaden the organizationâs outreach to include the entire Bay area, and there is no doubt in my mind that under Bernardâs leadership those plans will be realized.â Those interested in more nformation can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org
