Dry Pak is a leading US manufacturer of packaged desiccants ranging in size from 0.25-grams to 2500-grams. The pharmaceutical industry in India consumes large volumes of desiccant annually and Dry Pak felt the timing was perfect for implementing their local Sales & Warehouse service strategy. Dry Pak's existing customers in India as well the potential customers they have approached, have asked for local sales support and service throughout the years. This service plea helped pave the way for Dry Pak's regional office to be setup there in 2008.
By having a local presence, Dry Pak is no longer handling service and sales support issues from long distances with time zone interference. According to Dry Pak's Sales Manager Paul Felix, "the ability to immediately cater to our key customers in the region has give us the ability to dramatically cut down on the sales cycle in India." Dry Pak's customers appreciate the immediate response they get when they call into their Pune India sales office. They also are glad to find out that Dry Pak has set up a local warehouse in Mumbai allowing timely shipments to any location throughout India.
The local sales office in combination with a warehouse location seems to be the growing trend internationally for Dry Pak. They looks to continue this trend of offering the highest level of service and product quality in the desiccant industry by utilizing this very system. Currently Dry Pak has distributors in over 20 countries but are looking to expand their international sales office efforts.
