Virginia Beach, VA (PressExposure) March 16, 2015 -- Social media, presentation skills, leadership, and motivational expert Ed Sykes of The Sykes Group gave a presentation at the Chesapeake Business Women's Conference at the Chesapeake Convention Center in Chesapeake, VA on March 16th. The title of the presentation was "Build It, Promote It, and Your Customers Will Come: How to Use Social Media Marketing to Increase Your Bottom Line."
The conference was sponsored by the City of Chesapeake Department of Economic Development. This annual event allows female entrepreneurs to network with each other, gain valuable information from business vendors, and learn from leading entrepreneurs in the area. Subjects included business formation, finance and accounting, technology tools, marketing techniques, creating business plans, social media marketing, and website development.
Ed Sykes, founder of the leading marketing and social media company, The Sykes Group, was one of the featured speakers that day. He shared with these entrepreneurs how to use social media marketing to promote their products and service to increase their businesses' bottom line. "I find that many entrepreneurs invest most of their time developing their products or services, but really don't understand the investment of time and money in the marketing of their product or service," says Ed Sykes. "Social media allows for the entrepreneur to market their products and services just like the larger companies. The results can be amazing and create success for their companies in ways they could never imagine."
Ed discussed his system for efficiently marketing your product, services, and ideas to potential customers. Ed also discussed two case studies. One was how he used social media to propel one of his clients to the business television show, Shark Tank. The other case study was how he used video marketing to have the legendary music and movie producer, Quincy Jones, make a documentary about his client, a blind jazz pianist.
