According to a May 5th report in Reuters, nearly 90 percent of 117 online retailers surveyed by Forrester Research in conjunction with Shop.org, a division of the National Retail Federation, indicated that email marketing is a high priority in 2009. Furthermore, according to a related report published the same day on ReadWriteWeb, 65 percent of these same 117 companies said that they are focusing their actual investments this year in email marketing, which is second only to investments in search and ahead of investments in social media.
