Santa Clara, CA (PressExposure) May 29, 2009 -- EnLume, Inc, a Silicon Valley based application development company released a new iPhone application to help store and retrieve passwords. Named âPassword Managerâ, the application adds to the bouquet of iPhone and mobile applications EnLume has already released.
Designed to simplify storage and retrieval of passwords that all of us use in our daily lives; Password Manager securely handles confidential information. Users can store confidential information under completely customizable categories and a rich Search option makes it easy to lookup the information.
âPassword Manager saves the hassle of scrambling to remember and find passwords as they are easily available on your handy deviceâ says Deviprasad Malladi, Founder and CEO of EnLume. Password Manager is available immediately on the iStore and is compatible with iPhone and iTouch. [http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=317059458&mt=8]
Security and ease of use are the key attractions of this application. Unlike other password management applications, Password Manager does not allow data-synchronization between the iPhone and a server or a desktop. âAny movement of data adds pilferage risk and so we decided to restrict synchronizationâ says Malladi, highlighting the importance given to security in this application.
The application uses industry standards (Apple keychain API) to store data securely. As you delete the data, it leaves no room for password pilferage by deleting it securely. This application can be used to store passwords to websites, email accounts, ATM pins, locker combinations and any other piece of personal information that needs to be stored securely.
