Hebden Bridge, United Kingdom (PressExposure) September 17, 2009 -- Thousands of people left disappointed by the cancellation of the Hebden Bridge community bonfire night celebrations have been delighted to discover that the event is back on.
After much speculation the event, which usually attracts around 10,000 people, will take place on Calder Holmes on November 3.
Local authorities and the police have worked together all year to ensure that this yearâs event will be a real family occasion with fun fair rides aimed at younger children and professional catering.
The bonfire night will also start earlier and end earlier, again increasing its family appeal.
Local businesses and organisations have pulled out all the stops to help fund the event, as the rising costs of putting on the display was a factor in the initial decision to cancel the 2009 event.
This yearâs event is sure to attract many visitors from a wide area so if you are travelling into Hebden Bridge from further afield and donât want to spend time sitting in traffic it might be wise to arrive early and leave late, taking advantage of the excellent B&B accommodation on offer in the town.
One B & B accommodation that is highly recommended for enjoying the firework displays is Croftmill â a stunning mill conversion that boasts its own rooftop conservatory!
