New York City, New York (PressExposure) March 08, 2011 -- The Facebook MMORPG game engine provided by MMORPG Maker XB has recently been updated as shown on the MMORPG Maker page on Facebook. Recently, the MMORPG Maker XB Facebook game engine had become unavailable due to problems with the server code.
The company has announced that all bugs should be fixed, and the Facebook MMORPG engine should work again on all web browsers including Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox, Safari 4+, and Chrome 5+. Additionally, the Facebook sample MMORPG game listed on the MMORPG Maker XB fan page should support mobile browsers and gameplay.
Besides covering 95%+ of desktop platforms and 80%+ of mobile platforms, MMORPG Maker XB says its game engine also efficiently consumes computer resources. The company states its demo game embedded inside Facebook consumes less processing power and CPU usage than a simple Flash advertisement and cites the home page advertisement on YouTube today as an example.
Efficiency has been an important goal of MMORPG Maker XB's game engine as the company currently claims its game engine will run smoothly without hardware acceleration even inside mobile web browsers. The company provides videos of smooth gameplay inside the 2007 HTC Dream Android 1.6 default web browser. MMORPG Maker XB says current mobile platform support extends to iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android, webOS, and more.
The company has expressed a desire to port its game engine to more social network platforms in the future. Planned social network and friend network platforms currently include MySpace, hi5, and others.
Without requiring Flash, Java, browser plugins, or any downloading at all, MMORPG Maker XB's game engine is the most advanced cross-platform game engine currently on the market. Additionally, the company has announced it has upgraded its Facebook fan page to a cleaner layout and added a trailer of its game engine and revolutionary game creation software which the company claims is the most advanced web application in the world.
