St. Louis, Missouri (PressExposure) June 06, 2011 -- For Castlewood, a professional and unique eating disorder treatment center based in St. Louis, Missouri, it's time for Family Week again. Family Weeks at Castlewood are arranged at intervals of 6 to 8 weeks. The program is set for June 7th, 8th, and 9th. Clients of the treatment center can bring along or invite their immediate family or other loved ones for the program.
An Enlightening Program for Families
The Family Weeks help families recognize and fix problematic family dynamics. They provide information about eating disorders and co-morbid anxiety disorders. One of the participants at a previous Family Week program had this to say: "Castlewood provided clear direction for ways that we, along with our loved ones, can make it through the process of recovery. These meetings taught me more in 60 minutes than numerous books on the subject have taught me in 6 months."
This June's program will provide a platform for families to interact among themselves and pose questions to Castlewood experts about recovery. Thus, the loved ones of people undergoing anorexia treatment or therapy for other eating disorders or anxiety disorders stand to gain a lot from the different sessions. The three day duration program would incorporate family therapy, and individual and group sessions.
According to a Castlewood representative, "The Family Weeks are our way of ensuring that all possible avenues are looked into to ensure successful recovery for our clients. Other avenues that we incorporate into our treatment plan are a high staff to client ratio, compassionate care, fixing trigger issues, and controlling relapse."
Castlewood provides recovery solutions for eating disorders and co-morbid anxiety disorders. It adopts various treatment programs such as residential care, support groups, outpatient services, IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), day therapy, step down phase, and family weeks. The center is CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited. You can get more information about Castlewood from http://www.castlewoodtc.com/.
