Los Angeles, California (PressExposure) August 04, 2010 -- The feature length documentary, "FILM HU$TLE," Official Best Picture Nominee of THE 2010 ACTION ON FILM FILM FESTIVAL, written and directed by Daron Fordham and produced by Raymond Forchion has been selected as the August screening for the Black Association of Documentary Filmmakers, West.
The August screening, to be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 7:00 PM in the Vegan Village Cafe located at 4061 W. Pico Blvd. Los Angeles, CA(Just east of Crenshaw.) is a part of BAD - West's St. Clair Bourne's 3rd Thursday Documentary Film Series in honor of the late documentarian. The filmmakers will be available for a question and answer session afterward.
The doc focuses on the successful underground marketing campaign filmmakers Fordham and company took around the country in promoting the first hip-hop feature to be presented on the cover of Billboard Magazine, their Warner Brothers/Polychrome release, "CONFESSIONS OF A THUG,"
FILM HU$TLE explores all facets of setting up a successful campaign to market and sell an indie feature above and beyond the distribution deal. Say's Fordham, "Your movie is a product. You've got to think outside the box. The deal is just the beginning." According to producer Forchion, " "Hustle's" a primer for everyone with a movie to sell. I wish I had seen this before I made my first film. Even the studios could learn a thing or two here. Without this information, you are in danger of making the world's most expensive home movie." In addition to the filmmaker team, the movie includes words of wisdom from Oscar nominated actress Sally Kirkland and noted actor/director Bill Duke, successful filmmakers in their own right, plus interviews with a host of film fans from all over the country.
This will be a great evening for Film Lovers and Filmmakers alike. For further information contact: badwestla@gmail.com
