Buckeye, AZ (PressExposure) February 13, 2009 -- Tami Lewis is an experienced network marketer and successful internet entrepreneur. After 5 years working in Multi Level Marketing (MLM), she recently joined Wealth Masters International (WMI) as a consultant. In her new role, Lewis has made it her mission to create success and wealth in others, one person at a time. And the secret to that success she says, starts with having a sound financial education.
"Most people feel like they know everything they need to know about money," says Lewis, "but in fact, that's very rarely true. We tend to pick up our financial education along the way--like from family and friends--and it's informal at best, and dangerous at worst because often those people aren't all that successful with money themselves. Would you take driving lessons from someone who can't drive?"
WMI is completely focused on building wealth for people. The company offers financial education products and seminars, along with personalized guidance and support. In addition, entrepreneurs can become WMI consultants like Lewis, and build a business around building wealth for others. With realistic first year incomes well into the six-figures, it's a lucrative opportunity that is recession proof as well.
According to Lewis, succeeding financially--particularly during a recession--is both a matter of knowing what to do, and in getting help when you need it. Just like the stereotypical man who won't ask for directions when he's lost, many people struggling financially won't seek help even when they need it. "Most people I encounter would not--at least initially--list a lack of knowledge about money as an educational deficiency," said Lewis. "But in almost every case, it clearly is."
Unfortunately, getting financial help in the form of sound financial advice isn't always easy either. "Of all the people who use a professional financial planner," says Lewis, "only about 3% have a written financial plan. That's a major problem because effective wealth creation relies on a sound and stable financial foundation, and a cornerstone of a solid foundation is a comprehensive and thoughtful plan."
Lewis relishes her new role, helping others to succeed. "I'm a stay at home Mom," she said, "making more than most professionals working outside the home. I know I'm financially independent and completely secure, and want to help other people to do the same."
