Johannesburg, South Africa (PressExposure) September 01, 2010 -- The Soweto Wine Festival is a sought-after event on the township’s annual calendar and is making a name for itself as one of the trendiest South African wine festivals. The 2010 festival marks the first year of First Car Rental’s involvement in the Soweto Wine Festival; it is also the first year that exhibitors will be staying in Soweto at the Soweto Hotel on Freedom Square.

From Thursday, 2nd, to the Saturday, 4th of September, First Car Rental will provide free transfers to and from the Soweto Hotel for exhibitors at the Soweto Wine Festival. As the car hire partner to the festival, First Car Rental also offered reduced rates to all exhibitors attending the festival.

The Soweto Wine Festival, now in its 6th year, is held annually in September at the University of Johannesburg’s Soweto Campus and is expected to attract in excess of 6500 visitors.

Visitors will be treated to the ultimate tasting experience with the opportunity to sample over 800 of South Africa’s wines from 100 wine producers, interact with lifestyle brands, enjoy a food and wine pairing class and benefit from the business arena, which will showcase careers in wine, wine education, and entrepreneurial opportunities in wine.
