Jakarta, Indonesia (PressExposure) June 05, 2013 -- With the support from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Republic of Indonesia, Burufly today announces 100 finalists and five winners of the Explore the Beauty of Indonesia photo competition. With this photo competition Burufly aims to share with the world the beauty of this nation as well as to introduce various domestic tourism destinations to the people of Indonesia. The top 100 photos will be exhibited for one full month in Plaza Indonesia - eX. Five winners will be awarded with a group trip to hunt photos and explore the nature of Lombok.
Burufly is the first travel social media in Indonesia generating its content from its users (user-generated content UGC). This site is developed to promote the tourism in Indonesia, where this media will echo the beauty of Indonesia, which is not limited to Bali, but also many other tourism destinations from Sumatra to Papua, for the people of Indonesia and the international community to explore. Through their portal, [http://www.burufly.com] has some big data, with several digital findings in regards to travel demand, which they are also releasing today.
Peter Goldsworthy, CEO and Founder of Burufly explains, Indonesia has an abundance of tourism assets, but unfortunately its tourism potential is not yet maximized. We are initiating this photo competition to invite the people to contribute and show the beauty of Indonesia through their lens. We are hoping that this initial step will move domestic and international tourists to pack their bags and explore all of Indonesia.
Responding positively to the photo competition program initiated by Burufly, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Republic of Indonesia states, This is the realization of a good awareness movement from the private sector. Indonesia has many beautiful tourism destinations that are not yet on the radar for international tourists. Therefore, we truly expect that there will be other private players who will help us to succeed the governments tourism program, be it to the people of Indonesia, as well as to the international community.
Selecting five winners for this photo competition is not easy. Not one photo submitted to the competition is uninspiring. All photos are able to interpret the beauty of Indonesia through their own lens, explained Indra Leonardi, owner of King Foto.
We are proud to support Burufly photo competition, which is also supported by Indonesia Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. We truly believe that Indonesias tourism industry still has so many potentials for growth. Hence, we are participating by sending five winners for five days and four nights to explore and capture the beauty and the culture of Lombok, said Gomi Mutsumi, President Director of H.I.S Travel Indonesia
Zamri Mamat, General Manager Marketing Communication of Plaza Indonesia, We are happy to also help push forth this domestic tourism program through this photo competition. We are hoping that the exhibition of the photos from 100 finalists will give visual insights to our visitors about the beauty of Indonesia.
