Kasarwadi, India (PressExposure) April 30, 2014 -- Forbes Marshal, a popular engineering major based in Kasarwadi, has started two social projects for the development of women and children in Chakan. As a primary step, the company has already purchased land in the Chakan Industrial area.
The first project aims to develop the skills of women. It is undertaken with the participation of Yuva Parivarthan, a city-based voluntary organization. In order to develop the basic tailoring skills of women, the company has started a certificate course. Skill training program for women is the other initiative of Forbes Marshal. The company has started it in one of the high schools in Chakan. Women who want to become beauticians will also get training from the company.
Speaking to the media, Forbes Marshall Director, Rati Forbes said that her company is always concerned about the communities close to her factories and her company started these two new projects on the basis of the needs and expectations of the members of the local community. In order to understand the needs of people, Forbes Marshal interacts with them continuously.
The second project of Forbes Marshall aims to address the healthcare needs of children. The company is providing this service with the help of Kitab Korner educational foundation. They have selected four Zilla Parishad schools and started the summer camps for children as well. Women health and better parenting sessions will also be included in these awareness campaigns.
Forbes Marshal is always concerned about the solid waste management in Chakan. So, they are planning to launch an effective plant in Chakan Industrial area Phase ll. The company is doing it with the collaboration of Sandvik Asia Private Limited. Forbes Marshal also aims to introduce a CSR forum in Chakan phase ll. Solid waste management will be one of the primary initiatives. The company also plans to do preliminary management study.
By doing all these initiatives, Forbes Marshal aims to improve the social and economic health conditions of people in Chakan.
