Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) December 30, 2008 -- The career of automotive expert and former race car driver, Kelly Williams, has taken a turn in a new direction, and we're not talking about on the track. Williams has written an e-book entitled Kelly's Garage, the latest in the FUNdamentalsForWomen.com series.
Williams is the ideal person to write an e-book for women on this topic. For 15 years, Williams competed at the highest level of Canadian motorsports in a racing series, which is now called the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Williams also was a member of an elite group of women who were part of the Champ Car Pace Team. Williams traveled the world providing thrills to many VIPs by driving them around the track at extremely high speeds. She also drove the pace car in many Champ Car events on the circuit.
Kelly's Garage is a complete "tool kit" that gives women the knowledge they need about cars, including purchasing a new vehicle, car care, maintenance, safety and driving tips. According to Williams, "My e-book is for women who have ever had an anxiety attack when they had to take their car in for servicing; for women who want to know what they need to do to ensure their vehicle is well-maintained; for women who want to know the proper way to hold the steering wheel, - and much more. Knowledge is power.
"Talking to women about their cars is different than talking to men. Women don't want to know everything about their vehicle, just the most important things, and that's what my e-book covers," says Williams.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada
Kelly's Garage will be sold online at the FUNdamentalsForWomen.com website. It's the perfect vehicle for Williams to share her extensive automotive knowledge with women, while supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada in their efforts to make sure every kid who needs a mentor has one. For every Kelly's Garage e-book that is sold, $1 will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
FUNdamentalsForWomen.com (with an emphasis on FUN) is a website that was created in September 2008 by Yvonne Kaine and Gail MacDonald.
The FUNdamentalsForWomen.com website sells affordable, fun, "how-to" e-books for women written by women. The e-books in the FUNdamentalsForWomen.com series contain valuable information on each topic, and they are a fun read.
Yvonne and Gail developed FUNdamentalsForWomen.com because they've always been interested in programs designed specifically for women. Women are independent, they wield much of the buying power and they're a discriminating group of consumers. Developing programs for them is both challenging and rewarding. And, being women, they can certainly relate to the topics of the e-book. In fact, they're the ones who come up with the ideas. They're ahead of the game - they already know the topics for the next e-books in the series.
The FUNdamentalsForWomen.com e-book writers are all women. Who better to write for women, than women? They understand women and know how to get the information across, and have fun.
The women whom they choose to write the e-books are not necessarily authors by trade. In fact, most of them aren't. Yvonne and Gail are looking for women who are experts in their particular areas. Kelly Williams is a perfect example. Kelly was a race car driver and is an automotive expert. For Kelly to be able to share her extensive knowledge with women in her e-book Kelly's Garage, is a treat for all of us.
Williams is pleased that Kelly's Garage is the latest in the series. "I'm excited to offer my e-book as part of the FUNdamentalsForWomen.com series - it's a perfect fit. I love the concept of e-books. You can download them immediately, read them online or print out the chapters that you want. It's so simple."
According to Managing Partner, Yvonne Kaine, "We are thrilled to have Kelly's Garage in our e-book series. All women who drive, own a vehicle or are thinking of getting a vehicle, should read this e-book. Not only does it contain valuable information, but it's a fun-read. I learned so much by reading it, and I've recommended it to all my female friends."
Gail MacDonald, Managing Partner, believes in the concept of women teaching women "It's the basis for our website. There are so many female experts out there and, after all, who better to teach women than women? We talk to women in terms they understand and have some fun at the same time."
