Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) December 31, 2008 -- Francia Raisa will be returning as Adrian Lee in ABC Family's #1 hit series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager." Following the networks celebrated "25 Days of Christmas" programming event, ABC Family will bring back the highly-anticipated season one continuation of the series this January. The breakout summer hit "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" returns on a new day (Monday) with twelve all-new one-hour episodes beginning Monday, January 5, 2009 (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT).
"The Secret Life of the American Teenager" is ABC Family's #1 original series of all-time across the board, averaging four million total viewers per episode this summer, and ranked a dominant #1 in its time slot versus all cable in all key demos. The series' mid-season finale on September 9, 2008, delivered five million total viewers, ranking as ABC Family's #1 original series telecast of all-time. The series also won the network's first Teen Choice Award for "Choice Summer TV Show."
Well known for starring opposite NBC's "Heroes'" Hayden Panettiere in Bring it On: All or Nothing, Francia Raisa has went on to star in the Nickelodeon film Shredderman Rules. In summer 2007, she shot a lead role in A Soul Disowned, directed and written by Tinieblas González. Just prior to her new TV show, Francia was the lead female role of MGM's ABC Family TV movie, The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream alongside actor Matt Lanter ("Heroes," "Grey's Anatomy"). In addition to Francia Raisa, the series cast includes: Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Megan Park, Greg Finley and Jorge-Luis Pallo. John Schneider, Josie Bissett, Ernie Hudson and Steve Schirripa also guest star.
