Free Java Class Search Engine Released on findJAR.com

Vienna, Austria (PressExposure) May 26, 2008 -- findJAR.com is a free Java search engine. It can be used by Java developers to easily resolve NoClassDefFoundError and ClassNotFoundException problems. After entering the name of a desired Java class or JAR file, the respective resources can be browsed and downloaded directly. For JAR files all contained classes are listed, for Java classes all containing JAR files can be obtained.

findJAR.com is based on the contents of the extensive ibiblio maven repository. It contains about 16GB of Java code in more than 16.000 archives. Accordingly, about 2 million class files can currently be found on http://www.findJAR.com.

Jürgen Kuster, founder of findJAR.com states that the underlying database shall be extended continuously. In the respective process, user input is of particular importance. Only with their support it is possible for findJAR.com to keep up with new versions and additionally relevant packages.

findJAR.com is also known as jarFISH application in the recently started serFISH.com service network.
