Free Trial of Live Meeting to be Offered by Kinobo

Edinburgh, United Kingdom (PressExposure) April 27, 2009 -- Kinobo, the online computer retailer, has recently announced it will be offering a free 30 day trial of the new Live Meeting software from Microsoft. Live Meeting is a web conferencing package designed for business users who want to beef up their telephone conferencing.

Once signed up, Kinobo is also giving away free headsets and webcams to its early customers. They will then be able to use all the video conferencing features fully – including sharing and presenting power point presentations, collaborating on excel and word documents, giving handouts to meeting attendees and conducting polls and surveys of all meeting participants. Live Meeting also has a fully-fledged recording option, allowing the meetings to be recorded for future use.

Because the software is fully hosted, users will never have to worry about upgrading to the latest version, nor will they have to worry about storing recordings and other meeting files on their computer. Instead, any files used in meetings can be stored in the conference centre for at least 90 days. What's more, these files can be made available to anyone – making it a great resource for colleagues who may have missed a meeting.

The software is also aimed at those conducting training. In the pro version of the software, up to 1250 participants can attend a meeting (no license is required for attendees). This is great for large-scale training events, or open-access conferences.

Live Meeting currently comes in two subscriber options; Standard and Professional. The licences are similar, although Professional edition allows for a greater storage capacity on the hosted Conferencing Centre, and for more participants to join a meeting. The core functions of the software however, are all included in the standard edition of Microsoft Live Meeting.

Video Conferencing is fast becoming an alternative for companies wishing to cut their travel costs, particularly as high speed broaband becomes more widely available. For more information visit [http://www.webcamstore.net/video-conferencing/]
