Eatontown, NJ (PressExposure) January 31, 2012 -- Grass Roots Marketing, Inc. (GRM), an inbound marketing company providing services for the staffing industry, announced the results of a case study called "Inbound Marketing for Staffing Agencies" today. The case study examines the current usage of effective, online marketing tactics for U.S. staffing agencies and compares 233 typical staffing firms identified as members of the American Staffing Association (ASA) along with 25 of the largest staffing firms in the U.S. as indicated by research and Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA).
"Inbound marketing is a methodology based on attracting qualified leads to an optimized website, the hub of your marketing and sales efforts," says Koleen Singerline, Senior Vice President of GRM. "Using search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, social media, blogging, email marketing and public relations to collectively support your content-rich website will help increase brand awareness and drive sales."
Conducted during the fourth business quarter of 2011, "Inbound Marketing for Staffing Agencies" specifically reports the website grades and social media activity of the 233 typical staffing firms along with the top 25 staffing firms in the U.S.
Website grades from 1 to 100 were determined through website grader software from HubSpot, a recognized leader in inbound marketing technology. GRM is the first company in the nation with HubSpot Certified professionals to provide inbound marketing programs for the staffing industry. This grade was based on a review of numerous factors measuring the website's effectiveness including the number of indexed pages, linking domains, links to social media sites and interior page analysis, which assesses the internal value of individual pages.
Company websites, Internet search engines and social media search engines were crawled to identify company blogs as well as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles. A valid blog is one that includes commentary on industry news or provides useful information, not just job postings and company news.
"Our study showed that in nearly all of the analyzed categories, the top 25 staffing firms demonstrated best in class characteristics by ranking better than their 233 staffing firm counterparts in inbound marketing tactics," adds Singerline. "However, the key takeaway is that typical staffing firms can increase their sales by investing more resources into inbound marketing tools. Technology and software has made it possible for these smaller companies to be just as effective as the top 25 staffing firms."
