Boston, MA (PressExposure) June 18, 2009 -- Ethical volunteering company Global Vision International (GVI) has continued a recent flurry of new projects in Latin America, with a series of new volunteering options in South Africa. To add to an already impressive range of volunteer abroad programs, Global Vision International (GVI) is happy to announce the start of two childcare projects based in townships just outside of Stellenbosch and only 35 minutes from Cape Town.
Based in the same township, the projects will look to teach children literacy and numeracy in one-to-one sessions, and assist with childcare and educational activities in a childrenâs orphanage. This work will ensure that children will have the chance to fulfill their potential in safe and caring environments, a future that is out of reach for too many children in South Africa.
The addition of these two projects now mean that Global Vision International (GVI) are able to offer volunteer opportunities in numerous fields of study in what is one of the most stunning parts of the world. From field guiding internships to conservation vacations to wildlife expeditions on game reserves, and now to working with children in orphanages will continue the worthwhile work that Global Vision International (GVI) contributes to and supports in Africa and all over the world. But aside from the options available to potential volunteers, there are both long and short term durations available from 2 weeks all the way up to 1 year. And with departures and start dates year round, volunteers will be hard pushed to find something that does not fit in with their schedule.
