Gamut Control Signs Artist Reza Sepahdari

Irving, TX (PressExposure) December 30, 2008 -- ABOUT GAMUT CONTROL:

Gamut Control has revolutionized digital fine art reproduction by combining the use of available high-end hardware and software with their own, proprietary specialized software into a next generation process. This process begins with capturing each tiny detail in the original artwork and then transferring the image, pixel by pixel, to the final canvas to create a completely faithful reproduction of the original in all its brilliant color and texture, stretching the gamut of the high end, wide format inkjet printer to ensure that each color is accurately portrayed. Their system has completely done away with the need for profiles and color correction. It simply takes the original and duplicates it. This proprietary system developed by Gamut Control is not available anywhere else. Archival pigment inks, highest quality canvas and a hand applied varnish, guarantee longevity and stability in the print.

Iranian-born Reza Sepahdari, known for his expressionist celebration of freedom and movement, began drawing at a very early age. He was always encouraged by his father to pursue art and always had a drawing pencil in his pocket .By the time he was ten years old, he had studied the classical masters and could already imitate their techniques. Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Rubens, and Rembrandt all influenced Sepahdari to become a skilled artist even before others his age were learning simple arithmetic. Reza earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Tehran in 1978 where he became interested in animation and produced movies in Tehran. He was fortunate enough to exhibit his work every year at the Tehran International Film Festival from 1978-1986. Reza lived in Greece where he exhibited his murals, acrylics, and charcoals at numerous solo exhibitions. He has also exhibited his acrylics and watercolors in Western Europe, Spain, France, Italy, and all over the United States while honing his expressionistic technique. Many artists share their enthusiasm for Reza’s focal subject:: universal peace and freedom. Reza studied graphic design and computer animation at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto and renewed his skills in computer graphics while showcasing his work in Canada. He designed multiple covers for Common Ground Magazine and CD covers for Sting and Paul Simon. Sepahdari has always been involved with the themes of liberty and freedom, particularly in the arena of women’s rights and uses the dancer to express these elements. Reza says that “music and dance are universal elements of peace and happiness” which is why he paints to music as he translates the dance to the canvas.

Gamut Control is honored to represent such an experienced, multi-faceted artist who has exhibited around the world. His art will be re-photographed by Gamut Control’s proprietary next generation imaging system and marketed by Gamut Fine Art Publishing. In the meantime, his uniquely inspired work can be viewed here:
