Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 06, 2012 -- GardenToolbox is renowned for being one of the largest online UK garden tool retailers and has been up there with the 'big boys' for some years now. So it's no surprise to see them taking on a different product range to all their competitors; following the pack is something Toolbox has never been a fan of and never will be.
McCulloch have quite a rich history when it comes to their innovations within the chainsaw industry. Not only did they revolutionize the way chainsaws operated, but they transformed woodworking as a trade in North America through their innovative thinking and creations.
They introduced the first one man operated chainsaw in 1949 and in '68 continued to break records by building the lightest chainsaw the world had seen. The innovations didn't stop here and the company branched out into other gardening equipment in the 70's and 80's; adding both hedge trimmers and leaf blowers to their already successful brand.
Since then, the Husqvarna group have purchased both the European division and North American rights to McCulloch, so essentially the brand is now governed by Husqvarna. However, the quality of products has remained the same and the design is still focused around creating more users friendly, safety oriented products.
Lee Taylor, GardenToolbox's Manager was enthusiastic to comment on the new range of McCulloch products; "We don't like following in the footsteps of other tool retailers, we like to provide our customers with a wide range of different products which will suit the needs of different customers. With the new McCulloch range, we have found solid reliability, crossed with clever engineering to produce some extremely efficient and user-friendly products; even a complete novice could use McCulloch's entire range of tools!"
GardenToolbox is part of the Plumbworld group and due to this, being green is a huge part of the company; as can be seen by the carbon offset programme and various other schemes which are largely green and helpful towards the environment and ecosystem.
Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager gave us a brief run-down of this; "Everyone is looking for more fuel efficient cars whilst retaining performance, this McCulloch product range is no different. All of their designers are looking for ways to increase efficiency and the performance of products whilst reducing emissions, fuel consumption and noise levels - this is a product range everyone should be looking at if they're of the eco-friendly persuasion.
GardenToolbox.co.uk is the sister company of the ever expanding Plumbworld Network.
Plumbworld was an early pioneer of online trading, started by James and Anita Hickman in 1999 and sold to the Grafton Group PLC in December 2006. Plumbworld now employs more than 50 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices and boasts an astonishing 50+ websites selling everything from bathroom taps and chainsaws to barbecues and bathrooms. The business has a turnover in excess of £18 million and is growing at more than 20% year on year.
