Fort Worth, Texas (PressExposure) May 30, 2008 -- "Where Do Dingoes Come From?" is the debut picture book from authors Bascom and Tracy Bradshaw to support the Dingo the Dog Project which educates children and adults about the importance of pet adoption from shelters. BookLocker.com, Inc. debuts the first book from the Dingo the Dog & Family series (ISBN: 9781601455116), online in June 2008.
Dingo's story begins with Cricket, a young adopted girl, asking her mom, Sophie, about how she adopted Dingo the dog. Sophie proceeds to tell Cricket about how she fell in love with Dingo while volunteering at a local shelter. She decided to adopt Dingo after he was left behind during a big pet parade. Cricket leaps from her bed onto Dingo's back and exclaims, "How can you not walk a Dingo?"
Bascom Bradshaw, author and illustrator, said, "We created these characters to provide a face to our passion to educate people about pet adoption from shelters. We believe that Dingo the dog will provide a unique approach to reaching children, and more importantly their parents, through picture books."
