Burnsville, MN (PressExposure) September 23, 2011 -- Librarians attending the national conference of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) to be held October 27-30, 2011, in Minneapolis, MN, will have an opportunity to receive $3,000 in grant money provided by Mackin Educational Resources and Library Media Connection. Attendees can register for the grant at the Mackin exhibit booth, number 717.
Recognizing the librarian's challenge in maintaining collections and obtaining needed new materials with increased budget cuts, Mackin also will present "Finding the Bucks: Alternative and Creative Funding Options for Your Library" at the AASL Conference on Saturday, October 29, from 1 p.m.-2:15 p.m. Librarians will learn about various funding options - from grants to a new innovative donation program - as well as ways to save money now using their existing funding.
