Becrypt announces its position as the 45th fastest growing private technology company in the UK - according to figures released in the ninth annual Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table.
With rankings based on sales growth between 2007 and 2009, Becrypt achieved 45th place through strong growth that has seen sales rise 60% a year from £2.5m in 2006 to £10.1m in 2009.
Established in 2001, Becrypt was formed to meet the growing demand for high-level encryption and data protection products in the PC and PDA marketplace. Its award-winning flagship data security product, Trusted Client, is a low cost, network security access device that solves the problem of secure remote working on unmanaged PCs. It addresses the inherent risks of unmanaged connections to ensure network security and data protection - simply by inserting the Trusted Client device into a PC and re-booting, a secure environment is launched, providing a user interface, web browser, email access and standalone applications.
"The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 is a barometer for the health of the UK technology sector and we're delighted to break in to the league in such a high position," said Bernard Parsons, CEO and co-founder at Becrypt.
