HPG Continues Support of Make-A-Wish Foundation Audit Manager Tom Fagley Joins Board of Directors as Treasurer
Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (www.hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, announces today that Tom Fagley, audit manager for the firm, has been selected to serve as treasurer and finance committee chair for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Eastern North Carolina. Fagley is serving a three-year term.
"Tom is an excellent candidate to serve as treasurer and lead our finance committee," says Suzanne Sutter, president and CEO for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina. "His insight has already been a tremendous benefit to the organization, and we are delighted to have him and HPG working with us."
In his role, Fagley will ensure the financial integrity of the organization through a regular review of financial statements, investments, financial controls, external reporting and audits. Fagley is co-leader of the HPG life sciences team, focusing on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Fagley's appointment continues HPG's longtime support of the foundation. He transitions into his new role replacing former treasurer and HPG Partner, J. Mark Livingston, who served four years on the board.
At HPG, Livingston focuses on organizations that develop and distribute medical devices; pharmaceutical companies; and various other manufacturing and distribution companies. Livingston has an extensive background in the audit and financial reporting of employee benefit plans. He has leveraged these skills to help streamline financial practices throughout his time on the Make-A-Wish board.
"I've enjoyed my time serving the Make-A-Wish Foundation and am happy to see Tom transition into his role as treasurer," says Livingston. "It has been a rewarding experience, and I've been touched by the inspiring children that the foundation helps."
