Detroit, Michigan (PressExposure) April 10, 2009 -- Country Music Artist Billy Craig performing at WYCD's Detroit Downtown Hoedown on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 7:00pm
This marks the festival's 27th Anniversary bringing over 800,000 attendees participating in 3 days of country music. This year will be the biggest ever and is expected to surpass all the rest with other National Artists such as Rodney Atkins, Willie Nelson, Zac Brown Band and Lee Ann Womack taking to the stage.
Billy Craig has been promoting his latest release, This Side of Somewhere featuring 14 original compositions. The recording started out at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, where Johnny Cash began his recording career, and the process was completed in the metro-Detroit area.
With the song "Flip Flops" making new friends with radio, "Jake Terry," a song about Johnny Cashâs childhood dog getting airplay on the Legendary WSM in Nashville and the edgy country tune "Millionaire" also getting worldwide interest, Billy is gaining global attention.
This last year has seen some great accomplishment from this artist. His music is being played on country stations across the USA and around the world including Canada, Ireland, England, Australia and New Zealand.
Billy Craig and his Smokin Hot Band featuring drummer Jason Zook, bassist Mike Marzolo and guitarist Bob Monteleone will be performing at the Hoedown on Friday, May 15th 7:00 pm.
