Healthcare Crisis! Feds Cover-Up Cause of Breast Cancer

Hilo, Hawaii (PressExposure) September 28, 2009 -- Research suggesting a significant causal link between breast cancer and the wearing of constrictive bras is being deliberately censored by the Federal government. Websites operated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) claim that bras do not cause breast cancer, while offering no research evidence or studies to support their claim.

No research has ever been conducted to follow-up on the bra/cancer theory, either to further prove it or to disprove it. No research has ever been done to refuted the bra/cancer theory.

On the other hand, medical anthropologists Sydney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer's 1991-93 Bra and Breast Cancer Study, described in their book, Dressed To Kill, concludes that wearing bras too tightly and for too long each day is the leading cause of this disease. They theorize that the bra hampers lymphatic flow from the breasts due to constriction, leading to fluid accumulation, cysts, pain, toxin accumulation, and, ultimately, cancer.

In addition, a 1991 Harvard study also showing that bra-free women have a much lower incidence of breast cancer than women who wear bras. See Eur J Cancer. 1991;27(2):131-5 Hseis, CC and Trichopoulos, D. Breast size, handedness, and breast cancer risk. The study found, "Premenopausal women who do not wear bras had half the risk of breast cancer compared with bra users."

Other research shows that bras impair lymphatic flow from the breasts and cause a myriad of health problems. Amazingly, however, there are no other studies that look directly at the bra/cancer link. Despite the increasing public awareness of the hazards to breast health of wearing tight bras, the cancer industry has insisted on not considering the bra/cancer theory, and has actually been trashing the theory out-of hand.

The NCI website, http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/Risk/pregnancy , states under the heading,"Misunderstandings About Breast Cancer Risk Factors "There are a number of misconceptions about what can cause breast cancer. These include, but are not limited to, ... wearing an underwire bra.... However, none of these factors has been shown to increase a woman's risk of breast cancer. " No other information is given to support this statement, or to prove that the bra/cancer link is, indeed, a misconception.

The NIH website, http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000913.htm , states, "...(w)earing underwire bras do not raise your risk for breast cancer." Again, no scientific evidence is provided for this statement.

The bra/cancer theory clearly needs further study. However, these websites dismiss this theory out of hand, and misinform the public by stating there is NO bra/cancer link, without the benefit of research disproving the theory, and regardless of evidence supporting it. THIS IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE.

With healthcare reform being promoted by the Feds, and with research to support or disprove the bra/cancer theory easy to perform, the cover-up of the bra/cancer link is criminal. If this disease can be prevented by eliminating the excessive wearing of constrictive bras, it can save millions of women from this disease, and save billions of dollars in healthcare costs.

Continuing to ignore the bra/cancer link, especially with the theory increasingly gaining international support, including from MD's, will show that our highest government medical authorities are inept, corrupt, and negligent.

This is a major cause of our healthcare crisis.
