Kathmandu, Nepal (PressExposure) June 09, 2014 -- Introduction:
This wonderful Helambu trekking with Nepal Guide Treks & Expeditions starts from the outskirt of Kathmandu Valley at Sundarijal or Melamchi Pul vice versa, an interesting area with varied range of cultures with the main three ethnic peoples living in are the Tamangs, Bhotias and Yolmus.
The Yolmo people of the Helambu region are little different to Sherpa's, however their languages, customs, resemble the Solu-Khumbu Sherpas of Everest. They are more close to Langtang Bhotias, originated from the Kyirong area of Tibet, just over the border. The lower and mid hills area are dominated by Hindu's other hill tribes including Brahmins, Chhetries, Newars and some Gurungs, the walk continues with uphill in the beginning to Chisopani 2,195 a magnificent spot offering grand views of mountains range from Annapurna to Gaurishanker, Langtang and Jugal Himal in the middle, the trekking leads towards the higher trail meeting the Gosainkund route at Tharepati the highest spot of this trip at 3,595 meters another view point for panoramic scenery of snow capped mountains and surrounding landscapes, from here the trek descends to Melamch and with a short climb to Tarkegyang 2,560m the final destination of this trip with Nepal Guide Treks & Expeditions situated in the foot of Jugal Himal range of mountains with time for exploration around this heart of Helambu villages teemed with historical, cultural backgrounds.
Helambu area is regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the foot hills of the Jugal Himalaya, just a few days away from the Kathmandu Valley rim located north east of Kathmandu in the Central Himalayan Region. From here our journey heads back to lower area for the drive back to Kathmandu after a remarkable time in the Himalayan mid hills Helambu Trekking with Nepal Guide Treks and Expeditions.
