, (PressExposure) July 26, 2006 -- Grief is a part of life that everyone will eventually have to endure. When a loss occurs, many of us are surrounded by friends, loved ones and even kind strangers. What happens when everyone gets back to their lives and we are left to handle the reality of this grief on our own? What happens when we know the death of a loved one is imminent, but no one wants to talk about it, because it is too hard for them to face the truth? This can be more difficult than the death itself, at times. Everyone has their own level at which their coping skills are helpful. Some are stronger than others. Some have been taught to use effective tools as a means of coping. Unfortunately, many of us have not been taught. We can easily become "stuck" in the grieving process - a plateau of sorts, which leaves us at an emotional and spiritual place where we cannot seem to move back or ahead. Depression and hopelessness may come as a result. Shining Light Grief Support is dedicated to learning to live again after loss. Onsite and online tools help clients to become unstuck in their grieving process, and through information, sharing and support give them hope to become once again whole and happy.
