Hitachi Midrange Storage Platform Wins Bronze in Storage Magazine and 2008 Products of the Year Awards

(NYSE: HIT) and the only provider of Services Oriented Storage Solutions, today announced its next-generation midrange storage platform, the Hitachi Adaptable Modular Storage (AMS) 2000 Series, has been selected by TechTarget’s Storage magazine and as a ‘Storage Products of the Year’ winner.

The Storage magazine and’s annual ‘Storage Products of the Year’ awards recognize the elite technologies that impacted the storage industry in 2008. The Storage magazine and editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts, and consultants narrowed the finalists down to a list of 15 products across five categories: backup and disaster recovery software, backup hardware, disk and disk subsystems, storage networking equipment and storage management software.
