Holiday Inn Cochin Appoints the Executive Chef and Director of Sales and Marketing

The newly appointed executive chef will manage and lead daily kitchen operations & administrative activities including special functions & promotional events. He will be responsible for the management of the restaurants, which will be housed at the Holiday Inn Cochin and his experience with planning and implementing A-la-Carte menus for different cuisines will be essential in creating, innovative spreads. Commenting on his appointment Mr. Sanjay Thomas, Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Cochin said, "Working with the IHG since 2004, this opportunity with Holiday Inn Cochin, allows me to implement my experience, by infusing flavours from the Indian sub-continent and Middle East, to continental styles of gourmet cooking. Holiday Inn Cochin will provide guests a variety of dining options which include an all-day dining restaurant, "Masala", a specialty Italian restaurant, "Roma" and the lobby cafe- "Deli KC". All of these restaurants house truly authentic cuisines and are set in a fun and friendly family environment."

Sandit Shah joins Holiday Inn Cochin after 15 ½ years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. Some of his past endeavours include work with prominent hospitality chains such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Taj Group of Hotels where he has proven track records of accelerating business growth and creating an improved brand perception. While Sanjay Thomas has worked with leading hotels in the hospitality sector in different regions including India, UAE and Seychelles and has been associated with the hospitality industry for over 16 years. His prior experience with the IHG group includes Crowne Plaza Resort, Shalala and Al Bustan Palace Intercontinental Hotel in Oman.
