Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) December 26, 2009 -- 1. General Knowledge - You must know your general knowledge about what you are going to be selling or promoting or even giving.
2. Specific Knowledge - You must understand and know the specifics about the product or service you are selling, promoting or giving.
3. Practice - Practice writing any type of copy or ad piece anytime anywhere. just keep writing even for fun whenever you can.
4. The Purpose of the title, summary and all the designs is to get the reader to read the first sentence. The first sentence is to get the reader to read the second sentence and so on and so forth.
5. Creating The Buying Environment - By getting the reader to read your copy you want to create a buying environment by giving value and showing the benefits.
6. Seeds of curiosity - You want to keep giving the reader value and showing the benefits but not all at once so they do read everything.
7. The Incubation Process - When you are finished writing your rough draft and everything is planned take a few minute break and get out of the room and let your mind incubate and relax. This will allow your mind to organize all the content and put a powerful piece for you when you are ready for the final draft.
8. How much copy should you write? - Depends on the product or service you are selling. The more you are going to have to ask from the prospect the more copy. If your product is of minimal cost not much is needed. Practice will make perfect!
9. Editing Process - Once you are complete you want to go through it all and proof read and change what can make sense more and in ways for the reader to easily read and understand. You want to make it perfect by making sure it is perfect at the end before you distribute. That's not it though.
