Garland, TX (PressExposure) May 31, 2011 -- Leading manufacturer of automotive aftermarket specialty chemicals rolls out social media initiative.
IDQ Inc. the world's leading manufacturer of Automotive Aftermarket A/C products such as Arctic Freeze, Sub-Zero Synthetic, and Super Seal is using social media to improve customer communications, build awareness, and simplify customer support. By coordinating a company blog with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media outlets, IDQ is engaging customers in conversations. Additionally, consumers can "Ask the Pro" for technical support and advice which will increase user satisfaction and improve results.
"Implementing social media as a way of improving the customer experience is a natural for IDQ," says James Winton VP of Customer Support. "Although our product is very easy to use, customers are sometimes reluctant about doing a car repair that they have never done before. By using outlets such as YouTube and Facebook, we can effectively reach our core customers to demonstrate how easy it is to use our products, and to illustrate how they can save time and money." Winton goes on to explain that tools such as Facebook and Twitter can improve customer technical support by reducing response time for customer support issues: "Many people might not pick up the phone and call a customer tech line if there is a problem, but they won't think twice about tweeting it or creating a post on Facebook. By engaging the customer in the areas where they are having the conversation, we can spot customer issues quickly, and get them resolved in a timely fashion."
IDQ believes that social media is not just a passing fad but an integral part of communicating with customers in the digital age. To support this initiative IDQ recently created the position of Digital Content Manager to stay abreast of all of the activities in the various media, and to provide fresh content on an ongoing basis.
