, United Kingdom (PressExposure) June 04, 2007 -- Nigel Chute has become the latest expert to be appointed to the panel of Sheffield-based Inventor-Net - created and supported by Atkinson & Company, in partnership with FixedFeeIP. Nigel, who runs his own design business, has invented many products of his own such as Flexi-tip Sealant Smoother (to smooth household sealants) and CelGel – a stylish mobile phone cover.

“We are extremely pleased to have Nigel on board,” says Ralph Atkinson, managing director of Atkinson & Company. “His expertise and experience in turning inventions into a commercial success is an invaluable asset to Inventor-Net.”

Nigel said: “I know from my own experience how daunting and energy-draining it can be trying to bring your product or invention to market. It is easy to end up pouring money into a bottomless pit without any tangible results.”

”Inventor-Net aims to minimise that risk for inventors and I am thrilled by the idea of helping other inventors on their way to success,” he adds. Individual inventors approaching Inventor-Net can get professional advice and an unbiased assessment of the commercial viability of their ideas; all in a confidential and friendly atmosphere.

What sets Inventor-Net apart from the other organisations offering business advice is the fact that people sitting on the panel are those with practical, working business expertise. Most of them set up their own businesses and got through the invention process themselves. They took the risk and won. Now, having learnt their lessons, they can help those who are at the beginning of the process, as they once were.

The initial assessment and participation in the first Inventor-Net consultation is free of charge. There are no hidden costs or expenses. Once an invention is approved as having market potential, the inventor is offered a one year’s consultancy service on a fixed fee basis (modules include Sales, Patent and Product Development and can be paid for in instalments). For a whole year an inventor then has full access to Inventor-Net’s professional consultancy service.

Anyone with an idea or invention is welcome to join the Inventor-Net Confidential in Sheffield. To book a place for a free consultation (next 3 sessions will take place on Wednesdays: 20 June, 18 July or 15 August), call Eileen Ellis on 0870 850 0043. For further information, visit or
