East Molesey, United Kingdom (PressExposure) April 19, 2008 -- Based in East Molesey, the Imber Court Sports Club was easily accessible by road and train and provided a light and spacious environment for networking, socialising and group learning. Over 40 BlackStars attended the event and took part in over a hundred 1-2-1 business meetings.
One attendee commented that the location and facilities were the best of any venue he had been to for a BlackStar event, and many others felt the venue was particularly well suited for networking events.
The introduction of the 'BlackStar Boardroom' was extremely well received, allowing participants the freedom to discuss many subjects or just one or two in detail. Attendees commented that the programme provided extra time for discussions enabled the provision of solutions to become much easier.
"On our BlackStar boardroom we discussed everyone's issue and it was excellent. There were some great questions, great suggestions and we were able to benefit from the issues others brought to the table" explains Colin Newlyn of Ology.
Due to the out of town location, numbers were lower than events held in central London, but were higher than previous regional meetings. William Buist of Abelard Management Services commented that many found they actually benefitted from the more personal atmosphere yet still having the same number of 1-2-1 meetings that they had experienced at other events.
"Imber Court provided a superb atmosphere for our latest BlackStar event and enabled a greater interaction between members, providing real benefits for everyone who attended. We've had some excellent feedback from attendees and hope to use the venue again in the future" explains Buist, who facilitated the event on behalf of Ecademy.
