Sydney, Australia (PressExposure) October 12, 2010 -- One of Australia's hottest Supercross and Motocross riders, Jay Marmont, will be adding some yellow and black to his riding gear following the signing of a sponsorship deal with leading motorbike insurance provider InsureMyRide. Jay holds three MX nationals crowns, including the spectacular, nail-biting finish that delivered him the 2010 championship.
In announcing the sponsorship, InsureMyRide (IMR) Executive Manager, Andrew O'Hara said "Jay is one of Australia's most successful Motocross and Supercross champions and this sponsorship presents a great opportunity for IMR to support an exciting sport and an exciting rider".
Jay has been riding bikes since he was just five years old and at 27, already has six Australian Motocross and Supercross championships to his name.
"We have a great team here at IMR," said Andrew O'Hara. "They not only know everything there is to know about bike insurance, but they are hard core bike enthusiasts, so when we find opportunities to align our brand with talented riders like Jay, we jump at them".
Currently in the USA while he gets ready to compete in the Motocross of Nations to be held in Thunder Valley, Colorado, on 26th September, Jay said today that he was thrilled to have secured the sponsorship deal. "I never under-estimate the value of having great sponsors, without their support it wouldn't be possible for riders like myself to reach the top in this, or any sport, I guess" said Jay. "And when your sponsor knows as much about your sport as IMR does, then it makes the relationship that much easier - you can just get on with the job and remain focussed on winning."
IMR will be closely following Jay's progress and cheering him on when the biggest off-road motorcycle event kicks off in Thunder Valley later this month.
