Integrated Long-Range Gen 2 Reader-Writer

Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) July 10, 2009 -- GAO RIFD Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released a cost-effective long-range Gen 2 reader/writer, which is designed for operation with UHF tags and yields superior read range over traditional long-range proximity card systems. This self-contained combination read/write unit is intended as a single read point in a pedestal, pole, wall or ceiling mounted configuration and provides an economical solution for automatic vehicle identification and access control applications alike.

Supported by four independent discrete TTL capable inputs, this long-range reader/writer, model 236006, is used in vehicle detecting loops, light curtains or other detection schemes. Additionally, the reader has four discrete 5V outputs that are current limited and electronically configurable for either push pull or external pull up resistors. The reader, with these outputs, can be used for gate vending control, vehicle stop-and-go light control or similar purposes. Optional relay modules are available for applications requiring output voltages greater than 5V.
