Mumbai, Maharastra India (PressExposure) November 25, 2011 -- Vetro, the Italian restaurant at The Oberoi, Mumbai, welcomes Tuscan native Chef Frederico Innocenti to present an Italian fiesta with traditional festive classics, until December 4, 2011.
Master chef at the Grand Hotel, La Pace in Montecatini Terme, Chef Innocenti showcases festive specialties beginning with Appetisers such as Green asparagus pie, with percorino romano sauce and mesclun greens; and Sauteed prawns, with cannellini bean cream, beetroot mascarpone and pistachio. The Primi Piatti includes Pear and ricotta ravioli, with beetroot sauce; and Braised lamb tortelli alla lucchese, with bolognaise sauce and gorgonzola. For the Secondi Piatti, guests can enjoy Seared fillet of barramundi, with asparagus and aubergine cream; and Pistachio crusted lamb chop, with artichoke and sautéed potato. The Dolce selection presents Hot chocolate and chestnut fondant, with orange, pine nuts, raisins and candied orange ice cream; Orange semifreddo; and others, specially prepared to herald the month of festivities.
Guests can savour a selection of regional cheeses such as Provolone and Tallegio from Lombardia; Pecorino Sardo from Sardinia; Toma delle Langheand Robiola from Piedmonte; and others, with fruit compote and walnut bread.
Each classic preparation is skillfully paired with a selection of premium Sensi wines, courtesy of Gusto Imports.
The Italian fiesta is available for lunch from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. and dinner from 7.00 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. until December 4, 2011.
