Clearwater, FL (PressExposure) January 25, 2011 -- Relay for Life of Clearwater will take place in Coachman Park May 13th and 14th, but the fundraising event is signing up teams now. Teams participate in fundraising activities for Relay for Life, which is the largest fundraising activity for the American Cancer Society. Because of Relays for Life all around the world, the American Cancer Society has raised over $3 billion to fund cancer research activities.
As stated on the Relay for Life website, "At Relay, every person in the community has a chance to celebrate, remember, and fight back. And every person who participates joins others around the globe as part of this worldwide movement to end cancer."
Relay for Life of Clearwater's New Team Kick Off party at Tony's Pizza, 418 Cleveland Street, Clearwater on February 7th at 6:00 p.m. Those interested in forming a team can attend to learn more about the event.
