Tucker, Georgia (PressExposure) September 09, 2013 -- Kardon Technology, an Atlanta-based firm that provides IT support and services to medical practices, was honored with the Member of the Year award from the Atlanta Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (AGLCC) during its 15th Annual Community Awards event held on August 23rd, 2013.
According to the AGLCC, the Member of the Year epitomizes a company that is an all-around champion - a champion both for their individual business and for the entire LGBT business community. The Member of the Year shows innovation in their business practices, which translates to advancement for the company. In addition, the award recipient will have advanced the mission, goals and purpose of the AGLCC.
"We are thrilled to have had so many wonderful and deserving nominees for the 2013 Community Awards," says Suzanne Baugh, CEO of Q&A Events and President of AGLCC. "To have Kardon Technology as our Member of the Year says a lot about how that organization has grown over the years. It has been exciting to see their business flourish and hear about some of the innovative business endeavors that are in the works. Their commitment to the AGLCC and the LGBT community has been unwavering. We are very thankful to count Kardon Technology amongst our growing membership and as a strong leader for our organization."
The award was accepted by Donna Grindle, a Certified HIPAA Privacy and Security Expert (CHPSE) and owner and president of Kardon Technology, and Karla Kreitner, the firm's vice president and business manager. "I'm still a little speechless about the whole thing," says Donna. "And for those who know me, that's really saying something! We're so incredibly honored to be recognized for doing what we love and for supporting a community that is amazing. It's easy to do well when you're passionate about your work and those with whom you work. We thank the AGLCC for this honor and greatly appreciate all that they do for us and our peers."
