Nodia, India (PressExposure) June 05, 2009 -- This may not be possible at an individual level. Karmic plans to promote the concept among students, young professionals and even housewives so that they get an opportunity to participate in social activities. The initiative is executed by forming "Social Chapters". A Social Chapter is a group of not less than 10 or more individuals, each of whom pledges a donation to his/her respective chapter so that a pool of funds (of Rs2-10 lacs), is created.
The circle is initiated and led by a Chapter Captain.
The funds raised by the circle go towards supporting one or more projects of the NGOs partners of Karmic.
The circle determines which project it will support by way of voting, i.e., once the funds have been collected by the circle owner, the circle will discuss and vote to decide which one (or two) out of the several projects they want to support with the pooled money.
Each circle member is entitled to vote in the ratio of the contribution.
Karmic will ensure the utilization of the amount and provide a feedback report to the Chapter.
