Houston, TX (PressExposure) May 30, 2008 -- This is big news which may come as a surprise to many non-profit groups is that Kathryn Beich has been sold to a Nashville based national fundraising company. That company has it's own brand of cookie dough products and will not be selling Ottis Spunkmeyer brand cookie dough after June 1, 2008.
For the schools and other non-profit groups that have been relied on the Otis Spunkmeyer brand for years, this comes as "not so happy" news. A school or group can spend years building a client base of satisfied customers and community goodwill, especially with a brand as well known as Otis Spunkmeyer. These groups are faced with either changing brands or products or finding a new supplier.
Fortunately, with the sale of Kathryn Beich, Otis Spunkmeyer has opened their line of products up to a select few other nationally recognized fundraising companies.
The major company of these few is Houston based AIM Fundraising. Juan Franco, the owner of AIM said, "I feel very honored to have been selected by Otis Spunkmeyer to carry on their great tradition and entrusted with their stellar reputation in school fundraising. AIM Fundraising has a track record of helping schools double and triple their previous fundraisers and now with a product like Otis Spunkmeyer's famous cookie dough, we see that we can be of even better service to our schools and customers."
Any school or group that wishes to keep doing Otis Spunkmeyer's brand will certainly be able to find a good and capable choice for helping them run their fundraising drive.
