Campbell River, BC Canada (PressExposure) December 05, 2007 -- For the first time since Kia arrived in Canada in 2001, there is an aftermarket solution to meet enthusiasts needs.
KFX Performance has officially launched it's Canadian office in 2007, and is uniquely positioned in the market to offer the largest collection of aftermarket parts for Kia and Hyundai, anywhere in Canada.
KFX Performance can also help Kia and Hyundai owners who just want parts that are designed to OEM specifications. KFX supplies selected OEM replacement parts for less than the cost of buying them from a dealership.
Prior to opening a Canadian office, consumers within Canada who wished to purchase these parts had to order them from the USA. Due to Government of Canada laws and regulations, anything purchased outside of the country and imported into Canada is subject to tariffs and GST. This meant the Canadian consumer could order a part, and when it was delivered to the door, the courier company would demand COD payment for customs/brokerage fees. This was quite a shock to consumers, who didn't expect or budget for the extra fees.
KFX Canada still has to get the products into the country and thus there is a customs/brokerage fee to deal with. Canadians now can choose from two methods of shipping: KFX Performance can clear customs with the shipping fee reflecting the cost of brokerage, or the consumer may deal with the delivery company in regards to customs/brokerage fees meaning a lower shipping fee. Customers who live near the USA/Canada border also have the ability to clear the shipments through customs themselves, saving more money.
