Wilson, NC (PressExposure) August 05, 2014 -- Facebook fans of KitchenReady are about to get a reward and have a chance to help give back. The brand announced on Friday August 1, 2014 on it's website and Facebook page that they will be giving away 16 pairs of their popular Kitchen Claws on August 8, 2014 to random 'shares' on Facebook in memory of the its founder's mother, and that it would donate 10% of their sales from August 8, 2014 to Susan G. Komen in her name.
"My mother passed away earlier this year after a long battle with breast cancer" said KitchenReady Founder, Patrick Maioho. "She was a beautiful mother to her children and wonderful 'Nani' to her grandchildren. And while our family misses her, Mom's upcoming birthday seemed to be a good time to give back to our fans, give to an organization that does so much for breast cancer awareness and support in Susan G. Komen and to celebrate her memory."
So why the number 16? According to Maioho, it was a matter of playing around with numbers. "August 8th is her birthday, which is 8/8. We decided to look at it as 8 + 8. It's somewhat simplistic I know, but that's how we came up with 16."
The promotion, which started on August 1, 2014, is a weeklong opportunity for fans to win the flagship product, Kitchen Claws, and to continue to raise awareness and funds for Susan G. Komen.
To enter, login into Facebook, go to KitchenReady's Facebook fan page and 'share' the promotion announcement on Facebook (make sure the share setting is public). 16 'shares' will be chosen at random by 5pm EST and the winners contacted directly that day. Like any promotion, there are rules, but the company has kept them relatively simple: 1 entry per person, 1 winner per household. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter and live in the continental USA.
